10 Puppets vs. 100 Puppets

Sasori continues to target Chiyo and Sakura with his flamethrower, but that switches to a water cannon that cuts through everything it touches, even the clouds. In the midst of this, Sakura is cut by Sasori’s poison blade and realizes that the antidote will only last her another fifteen seconds. Sasori goes on the offensive after Chiyo, but Sakura pulls on his cord and brings him to her. With only three seconds left, Sakura gives Sasori a powerful punch to the chest and he goes flying, piece by piece landing in every direction.

Just as it seems that the battle is won, Sasori reassembles himself. Chiyo pulls out a scroll and prepares to use a jutsu she forbade herself from using again: Shiro Higi: Jikki Chikamatsu no Shuu (Secret White Technique, Chikamatsu’s Collection of 10). It’s a technique, as Sasori explains, that is Chiyo’s “Ten Fingers” technique that once took down an entire castle.

It’s a great number of puppets, but Sasori summons 100 puppets that took down a country, through this technique, his final attack, Aka Higi: Hyakki no Souen (Secret Red Technique, Hundred Manipulation).

Elsewhere, Kakashi is taking his precious time to prepare for “that” move to battle Deidara.

Chiyo tells Sakura not to do anything since the antidote has already worn off, but Sakura, full of Tsunade’s traits, refuses to back down. Therefore, the two prepare for the final act.

An all out war begins between Chiyo’s puppet army of ten against Sasori’s puppet army of one hundred. Even though Chiyo is able to gain a slight advantage, Sasori’s puppets easily outnumber hers. Even one of her powerful techniques, Sanbou Kyuukai (Three Buddhism Treasure, Vacuum Destruction), isn’t enough to turn the battle in her favor. She tells Sakura, who has been taking out puppets left and right, to go straight after Sasori.

She succeeds by pinning Sasori to the wall with an item Chiyo gives her that is a sealing jutsu which cuts off all of Sasori’s chakra.

Sasori’s puppet army has been defeated and the battle appears to have been won, but before he was stuck to the wall, Sasori was able to switch to another body and prepares to finish Chiyo with one stab of a poison drenched sword…

…only for Sakura to rush in and take the piercing herself, right through her abdomen.
