Facts of the Fight
As Orochimaru's sword slips out of Sai's body and reverts back into a snake,
Sai's body dissolves into ink. After Orochimaru explains that it is not proper
etiquette to not reveal your true face when talking to a superior, Sai emerges
from the ground.
Yamato continues to draw chakra from Naruto's body as Naruto lets out blood
curling screams. When Naruto's body returns to normal, Sakura begins healing him
with own chakra, the healing process made difficult through her own injuries. As
Sakura heals Naruto, she asks Yamato to teach her the jutsu he used to heal
Naruto, but he cannot. Sakura does not have the same genetic structure as the
First Hokage and Yamato, as good as his jutsu may be, pales in comparison to the
original jutsu created by the First himself, so it would be impossible to teach
Sakura the jutsu. Naruto's necklace, which he won from Tsunade, only responds to
the First Hokage's chakra and is the reason why Yamato can control the
Jinchuuriki's chakra.
Sakura stirs in her own pity as she believes that the only things she can do for
Naruto are small and not worth much, but to Yamato, what matters are her
feelings for Naruto. Before Yamato can say anything else, Naruto awakens and
can't remember anything that happened. He immediately notices Sakura's tears and
believes that Sai has insulted her, prompting Sakura to punch him.
As Sai prepares to pull something out of his bag, Kabuto appears from behind and
subdues Sai under the impression that he is about to kill Orochimaru. Kabuto
backs off, however, when Orochimaru tells him that Sai will be traveling with
them. Orochimaru looks over a letter from Danzou before the three head off.
Yamato's clone pursues the three as Yamato, Sakura, and Naruto arrive at the
battleground of Naruto's battle with Orochimaru. As Jiraiya predicted, Naruto,
having reached the fourth tail, does not remember anything that happened since
he could not distinguish a friend from a foe. Sakura's lie that Orochimaru
knocked Naruto out is enough to enrage him just as Sakura notices Sai's things,
among them, his book.
At first, Sakura assumes that Orochimaru may have forced or coerced Sai into
going with him, but Sai went of his own volition. Sakura asks Yamato about
Danzou and he explains that Danzou opposed the Sandaime Hokage and could
possibly be working through Sai to get to Orochimaru. Though it's still early
speculation, Yamato, Naruto, and Sakura have to keep on their guard because
there's a slight chance that the one trying to destroy Konoha might not be
Orochimaru, but Danzou.
