Even though orange chakra continues to leak out, Naruto demands the Kyuubi get
back in its cage so he can save Sora with his own power.
With Sora out of
his control, Furiido is delighted to know that once Sora loses himself he will destroy
Konoha for good and no one is powerful enough to stop him.
Naruto, having
suppressed the Kyuubi with Sora's chakra, prepares to stop Sora by using his own
chakra. Despite this, Naruto is tossed aside like a rag doll. Before Sakura can
heal Naruto, Sora fires a giant energy sphere that rips through the forest. All
are saved through one of Yamato's wood jutsus…all except for Naruto and Sakura,
who Naruto managed to protect. He refuses Sakura's help since he has a rapid healing
rate and asks Sakura to heal Sora once he's been beaten. This match is personal.
Asuma regrets not killing Furiido when he had the chance. How Furiido managed
to do something like this to his own son is beyond him, even when Furiido continues
to believe that this is more about changing the Fire Country than being connected
to it. Furiido disappears into the woods, but is captured and revealed by three
snakes created by Sai's jutsu.
Try as he might, Naruto is still thrashed
around while trying to save Sora. He reminds Sora of when they first met, when they
fought each other, when Sora saved him, all of the moments they shared before Sora
went berserk. All of a sudden, in his mind, Sora hears Naruto calling his name.
What will happen to the Fire Country if Furiido dies? As he rushes past for
one final strike, Furiido coughs up blood and collapses behind Asuma, who responds
that nothing will happen.
Sora begins to hear Naruto's voice as memories
flow through his mind. Sora, as the Kyuubi, lets out a feral yell as his chakra
goes wild. Sora's body, according to Yamato, is unable to handle the Kyuubi's chakra
like Naruto's can, so the chakra is trying to force its way out of Sora's body.
Naruto pushes through the violent winds, assuring Sora that the Kyuubi's chakra
won't help him. He leaps forward, pulls back his fist and delivers a right cross
that connects. The Kyuubi's chakra erupts in a violent twister that can be seen
across the village.
Tsunade and Shizune get ready to go.
Without a
vessel to contain the chakra, the Kyuubi chakra vanishes. Sora's lifeless body comes
back to life as Naruto drags his body to him. Naruto welcomes Sora back to Konoha
and doesn't care that Sora tried to destroy it; as long as they're friends, it doesn't
matter what happened in the past. Plus, Sora is now surrounded by plenty of friends,
even Sai, who isn't allowed in the circle for whatever reason.
With the city
being rebuilt later on, Sora plans to travel around and meet new friends just like
Naruto did. He'll always have a home in Konoha, no matter what happened, but the
kaimyou for Naruto will come later.
Later, Asuma and Shikamaru relax over
a game of shogi. Asuma's move is unexpected, at least to Shikamaru, but Asuma explains
that you have to make sacrifices to protect the king. He calls Shikamaru a knight
because the knight itself doesn't have normal strength, but can maneuver over its
opponents to advance. As for Asuma, he claims he's nothing and that the king isn't
the Hokage, but someone else. Shikamaru will find out when the time comes.
Elsewhere, a blonde shinobi rushes through a tunnel until she reaches a clearing,
where she manages to avoid being impaled by a pike.
The first one's attacks
are the slowest in Akatsuki, so he would never hit his target anyway.
"Remember
Hidan," the other says, "This is the Two Tails Jinchuuriki. Don't take her lightly.
You'll die."
"Give me a break, Kakuzu." Hidan responds. "Seriously, I wish
the bitch could kill me."
Hidan and Kakuzu make their appearance and prepare
to eliminate their target: the Two-Tailed Jinchuuriki, Yugito.
