Kakashi's Enlightenment!

After Team Gai defeats the clones, they all head out to back up Team Kakashi. Sakura and Elder Chiyo are also on their way to help Naruto and Kakashi. They jump up on a log and Chiyo almost falls. Sakura is able to catch her but she sees how weak Chiyo is becoming from the poison.

Sakura remembers that Chiyo said she had something important to do. Sakura thinks that she could pass out at any moment. Sakura does not know what Chiyo has to do but she takes Chiyo's arm and they continue with Sakura supporting Chiyo.

Deidara looks back and sees that Kakashi and Naruto are still following. Kakashi tells Naruto that it is time and to back up a bit. Kakashi zeroes in on Deidara who looks back at him. Kakashi activates the Mangekyou Sharingan and all the space around Deidara starts to distort.

Deidara is surprised, but he uses his camera to zoom in on Kakashi's face. When he gets a close-up of Kakashi's Sharingan eye, he realizes what it is and tries to make himself a harder target. After a while, Kakashi is able to center it on Deidara's body which is drawn into a black dimensional space.

Deidara is powerless to stop it as his right arm is ripped off and sucked into the dimension created by the Mangekyou Sharingan. Kakashi is disappointed that he missed a vital area and he covers his eye from the strain. He tries again after a minute but Deidara moves through the trees so that Kakashi cannot get a good shot.

Finally Kakashi is forced to give up from the strain. Deidara heaves a sigh of relief, but he is caught off guard by Naruto who leaps out with a Rasengan. Deidara jumps off the bird and lands on a tree branch. Naruto uses Rasengan on the clay bird's neck, severing the head with Gaara in it. He sends 2 clones to catch the head as it falls.

Naruto's clones run and start to claw away at the head to get Gaara out. Kakashi's eye turns back to regular Sharingan and he is joined by a Naruto clone who asks him if he is alright. Together they watch as the other clones break a small hole in the clay head.

Sakura and Elder Chiyo stop for a small break as they see a broken log in front of them. Sakura has a flashback of when they first broke into the cave and Gaara was lying down with Deidara sitting on him. Naruto did not want to believe that Gaara was dead. Elder Chiyo interrupts the memory by urging that they go on. Sakura nods and they continue.

TenTen is running through the forest and is joined by Lee who tells her to hurry up. She protests that she was waiting but Lee shows her that Gai and Neji are above them. Gai tries to contact Kakashi but cannot get a signal. Neji tells him that "they have gotten the Kazekage back but". He doesn’t continue though.

Naruto finally breaks through the head and tries to wake Gaara but he gets no response. A short ways away, Deidara says that he told him that Gaara was dead. As he thinks to himself, he reflects that he did not expect so much trouble from Kakashi tagging along. He looks at his arms, frustrated that he has lost both of them.

Deidara thinks that Naruto is nothing and Kakashi is the real problem. He does not notice that the clone, with its back to him has turned Nine Tail on him. Deidara says that he will fight with them again soon. Kakashi warns him about letting his guard down.

Suddenly, Naruto shoots up behind Deidara and punches him right in the face before he can react. As Deidara plummets to the ground, Naruto makes 4 more clones to grab Deidara's limbs. They pin him when he hits the ground and Naruto goes all out crazy on Deidara until his knuckles bleed.

Kakashi and the other clones watch and Naruto finishes off with Rasengan. As it hits however, clay spews from a replacement jutsu. With his head down, Naruto growls in anger. Naruto does not move but red chakra starts to bubble from his body forming a cloak around him in the shape of the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox. Kakashi's eyes widen as he recognizes it.
