A group is being led to the tombs of three others: Nauma, Tou'u, and Seito.
The groups wonder why someone would rob a grave. Either the body can be used
for informational purposes or, as Orochimaru did, someone may want to use the
body for their own reasons.
The graves of the four (the other being
Kitane) were members of the Twelve Ninja Guardians, an organization from members
across the Fire Country to protect the Feudal Lord. It's similar to Konoha's
job, Konoha just protects the country, but the Feudal Lord is a different
matter.
Some of the members of the Twelve Ninja Guardians staged a coup
d'etat, which led to the breaking down of the entire group. These members wanted
to do away with Konoha's aid and conquer not only the Fire Country, but other
villages as well. Their belief was that peace would only come if the Fire
Country conquered all other nations. The six who staged the coup d'etat died,
but Nauma, Tou'u, Seito and Kitane were sacrificed as well.
Outside, the
monks proceed with their training, but Naruto is far from impressed. He openly
mocks Sora and the training process, so Sora decides to give Naruto a kaimyou (a
name created by Buddhists priests for someone who just passed). He attacks
Naruto, but Naruto defends himself against every one of Sora's attacks.
As the fight continues, Sora feels the eyes of everyone around him and Naruto
notices Sora's techniques become sloppy and disorganized. Naruto remembers those
same stares he received from the villagers in Konoha, but he cannot stop himself
from catching Sora in the face with his fist.
Looks like Sora couldn't
think of a kaimyou for Naruto. He heads off to the well to wash his face while
Naruto chooses to wash his own face as opposed to letting Sai do it.
Naruto asks Sai what a kaimyou is and Sai tells him, but does not get to tell
him that it only applies to dead people. Naruto just thinks it's a nickname and
a sign of friendship. He goes off and stumbles upon Sora training by himself.
When Naruto tries to give him a nickname, Sora thinks that he is being mocked
and attacks Naruto, who is again able to match him blow for blow. He sympathizes
with Sora because he knows that same feeling of having everyone look down on you
because of what you are.
But Sora doesn't care. He hates his powers, but
cannot just get rid of them. He'll need them for his revenge.
A fowl,
Modo Midori, flies over, signaling that something has happened at a tomb:
Nauma's corpse has been removed and the four robbers are on the move.
